WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled

Colorado," dated May, 1970, has been prepared by the
States Soil Conservation Service, Denver, Colorado; and

WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested
by the Board of County Commissioners of Larimer County, by
Resolution No. 9 adopted June 3, 1970, approved and designated
the floodplains described in said report; and

WHEREAS, a new report entitled "Floodplain ~anagement Study,
tioxelder Creek in the Vicinity of the Town of Wellington,
Colorado," dated, September, 1983, has been prepared by the United
States Soil Conservation Service, Denver, Colorado; and

WHEREAS, said new report describes and outlines the flood-
plain data and information for the storm and- floodwater runoff
channels or basins of the study area; and

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Larimer County
has requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate
and approve the floodplain areas as set forth in the aforesaid
new report; and

WHEREAS.
1973, requires

the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in

WHER8AS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised
Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local
jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or
along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after
designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation
Board; and
