Summary of Resolved Cases <br />. <br /> <br />Federal and Interstate <br /> <br />Ditch Bill Update: In our efforts to keep the Board apprised ofthe progress by the U.S. Forest Service <br />on the issuance of Ditch Bill Easements the following information was provided by Kevin Riordan, <br />Regional Ditch Bill Coordinator: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Rio Grande National Forest <br />. 26 a?plicatious evaluated <br />. 7 applications have alleged 1866 Rights and may qualify - more evaluation needed <br />. 2 applications have been confirmed to be on private lands and no further processing is necessary <br />. 3 applications may have been abandoned, or appear to not exist - may require further evaluation <br />. I application is on lands that have been transferred to the National Park Service - will require <br />further evaluations with the NPS and aGC <br />. 13 easements have been sent to applicants for signature, applicants have 60 days to accept ~d <br />sign and return (9 back with signature to date) -Biological Assessment (BA) is pending with the <br />USF & WS - will not execute any of the signed easements until we have heard back formally from <br />USF&WS <br /> <br />Grand Mesa. Uncompahgre. Gunnison National Forests <br />. 2 easements executed <br />. Full time coordinator hired for Forest - reported on 1/24/05 - are sorting applications for <br />processing and moving toward achievement of approximately 93 easements for the remainder of <br />year <br />. Coordinating with the USF&WS with respect to consultation. Biological Evaluations (BE) will be <br />batch processed first with the Gunnison River Drainage (majority of applications), then Colorado <br />River Drainage, and the Dolores River Drainage. <br />. Setting up a process to involve Pathfinder Group, and associated water users groups. Tentative <br />meeting dates are May 4th or May 5th. <br />. Have begun processing several reservoir applications and have run into some concerns with <br />archeology evaluations, may require more field site assessment. <br />. Have obtained some information from the State records that will be helpful for processing. <br /> <br />San Juan National Forest <br />.
