W.~, <br />Chief, Project Planning and Construction Section <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />April 28, 1998 <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />Agenda Item 27e, May 11-12, 1998 Board Meeting <br />South Platte River Basin Issues. <br />Front Range Shallow Aquifer Study - Progress Report <br /> <br />----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> <br />The CWCB and the Division of Water Resources are co-sponsoring a study ofthe <br />"Hydrogeologic Characteristics of the Shallow Aquifers of the Boulder-Fort Collins- <br />Geeley-Brighton Area of the Colorado Front Range." The study was initiated in 1996 <br />and is part ofthe U.S. Geological Survey Infrastructure Resources Project. <br /> <br />In November 1996, the Board agreed to contribute $30,000 from Severance Tax <br />Operational Account moneys allocated to the CWCB for FY 97 and FY 98 towards the <br />study (Contract Number C-153766).
