<br />... <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />POLICY NUMBER: 14 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />APPROVAL AND PRIORITIZATION OF GRANT <br />APPLICATIONS FROM THE CONSTRUCTION FUND <br />AND THE SEVERANCE TAX TRUST FUND <br />OPERATIONAL ACCOUNT <br /> <br />EFFECTIVE DATE: October 1, 2000 <br /> <br />POLICY: <br /> <br />The Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB) will accept <br />applications for grants from the Construction Fund and from the <br />Severance Tax Trust Fund Operational Account on or before <br />August 31 of each year. Grant applications for funding from the <br />Construction Fund will be accepted for the following types of <br />projects only: <br /> <br />1. Proj ects or studies of statewide impact or <br />importance. <br />2. Feasibility studies and demonstration projects that <br />have significant potential to result in loans from <br />either the Construction Fund or the Severance Tax <br />Trust Fund Perpetual Base Account. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />The CWCB may, in any year, recommend approval to the General <br />Assembly for any project that the Board deems worthy of funding <br />in the above categories and for which funds in excess of annual <br />demands for loans are proj ected to be available. Construction Fund <br />loan applications shall have priority over grant applications. <br /> <br />The CWCB will also review applications for grants from the <br />Severance Tax Trust Fund Operational Account for all other types <br />of water management projects and studies that meet the established <br />goals and program needs of the CWCB Long Range Plan and the <br />Severance Tax Trust Fund Operational Account. The CWCB will <br />then recommend approval to the Minerals, Energy, and Geology <br />Advisory (MEGA) Board for those grant applications that meet the <br />goals and program needs and are within the amount of the annual <br />CWCB allocation for the Severance Tax Trust Fund Operational <br />Account. <br /> <br />PURPOSE: <br /> <br />To establish a grant approval and prioritization process for grants <br />from the Construction Fund and Severance Tax Trust Fund <br />Operational Account. <br /> <br />e <br />
