under construction, and those for which feasibility and
definite plan reports may be expected by late in the Fall
of 1961. The total amount of money involved is $502,711,400.
Of this total $346,170,400 is located on the Western Slope.
Breaking the latter figure down we find that $215,089,000
falls within the Gunnison and Main Stem drainages; $95,946,000
in the San Juan Basin; ~26,179,000 in the Dolores and
$8,956,000 in the Yampa-White area.
In addition to the projects falling in the cate-
gories noted above investigations remain to be carried out on
the Parshall, Troublesome, Rabbit Ear, Eagle Divide, San
Miguel, West Divide, Bluestone, Battlement Mesa, Tomichi
Creek, East River, Ohio Creek, Grand Mesa, Dallas Creek,
Yellow Jacket and Juniper Projects as directed in P. L. 485
of t~e 84th Congress. There is doubt with regard to feasi-
bility of some of these projects. Their priorities with re-
gard to authorization will depend upon the results of studies
to be made.
