<br />tl21 <br /> <br />DIRECTOR'S REPORT <br /> <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board Meeting <br />October 31, 1957 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />A. The projects included under Table I, "Hypo- <br />thetical Annual Requests for Appropriations" include only <br />those (1) under construction; (2) authorized by Public Law <br />485; and (3) feasibility report completed. <br /> <br />a. Collbran is now under construction. <br /> <br />b. Paonia, Smith Fork, Silt, Florida and Pine River <br />Extension are participating projects designated <br />as such in P. L. 485 and are authorized by that . <br />law subject to an agricultural economics report. <br />Pine River Extension Project is undergoing studies <br />which indicate doubt regarding its feasibility. <br /> <br />c. Savery-Pot Hook is a project iying partly in Colo- <br />rado and partly in Wyoming, approximately half and <br />half in each state. It is included in Table I <br />because in 1954 the Bureau of Reclamation found it <br />would be feasible. For several years it remained <br />partially dormant because Wyoming studied the <br />possibility of constructing the Wyoming half in- <br />dependently. The State of Wyoming has now approved <br />the plan for combined development as presented in <br />the 1954 report. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />d. Curecanti was authorized under P. L. 485 subject <br />to a further engineering report. <br />This Table indicates that Congress must appropriate <br />over $45,000,000 in the next four years in order to complete <br />Collbran, Paonia, Smith Fork and to get well started on <br />Florida, Silt, Savery-Pot Hook and Cllrecanti. <br />Again I should like to emphasize the basis on which <br />Table I is constructed, namely, that the projects included <br />
