<br />. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Consent Agenda Item 4-1.d <br />Case No. 5-00CW015; Vail Mountain School <br /> <br />Application Summary <br /> <br />This is an application for a Plan for Augmentation, exchange and storage water rights on <br />Sweetwater Creek in Eagle and Grand Counties near the town of Dotsero (see attached map). The <br />Applicant is proposing to augment the out-of-priority depletions associated with the Vail Mountain <br />College, a facility consisting of a dormitory, soccer fields, a pond and landscaping. The Structures <br />to be augmented include the VMS Pond and the VMS Well Nos. I & 2. The VMS Pond will be <br />filled using the Fredrick Ditch at a rate of 1.0 cfs. The Applicant is claiming an October 14, 1998 <br />appropriation date for these structures. Out-of-priority depletions will be replaced with releases <br />from Wolford Mountain Reservoir and/or the VMS Pond. An exchange from the confluence of the <br />Colorado River and Sweetwater Creek up to the Fredrick Ditch headgate is claimed for 1.0 cfs with <br />an appropriation date of October 14, 1998. <br /> <br />CWCB Appropriations <br /> <br />The Board holds an instream flow right on Sweetwater Creek for 18 cfs year round with an <br />appropriation date of May 7, 1980, which may be injured by this application. <br /> <br />Potential for Iniury <br /> <br />The Applicant's proposed plan for augmentation may not replace depletions to the Board's instream <br />flow water rights on Sweetwater Creek in the same time, location and amount as they have <br />occurred. <br /> <br />Other Objectors <br /> <br />Other objectors in this case include the Southeastern Water Conservancy District. <br /> <br />I\DENVER2\CWCB\ WCTRANSlSEcaCase Files\20001500CWO 15_ mem.doc <br />
