Colorado River Basin Issues - 15 Mile Reach ESA Consultation - Proposed Resolution <br />Tape 4, Start/Stop: 4666 - 6475 <br />Action: A motion was made by Eric Kuhn to support the Draft PBO as a <br />significant improvement in defining the terms of success of the Recovery <br />Program contingent upon application of this general precedent to the other <br />Colorado River basins, and that staff should submit comments to Fish and <br />Wildlife Service within the Nov. 30 deadline, indicating this endorsement <br />and recommending the revision identified in consultation with the water <br />user representatives, along with the other 2 paragraphs submitted in the <br />Board memo. The motion was seconded by David Smith but the motion <br />failed (5-4). A second motion was made by Patricia Wells to support the <br />Draft PBO as a significant improvement in defining the terms of success <br />of the Recovery Program, and the Board is committed to seeing that the <br />Fish and Wildlife Service applies this general principal in other Colorado <br />River Basins and that the Fish and Wildlife Service establishes a schedule <br />for dealing with other basins, and including paragraphs 2 and 3 of the staff <br />recommendation. The motion was seconded by Harold Miskel and <br />approved (7-2). <br /> <br />21a.
