<br />". <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />Mr. Dan Merriman <br />April 14, 1998 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />construction on any of the proposed facilities, including Carbon Creek Reservoir. <br />Because the proposed reservoir site is located in the Gunnison National Forest, <br />Me Emmons Mining Company anticipates that it will be necessary to complete <br />environmental impact studies for an Environmental Impact Statement, obtain 404 <br />Dredge and Fill Permits, and possibly even complete Section 7 Consultation under the <br />Endangered Species Act. Consequently, impacts to the natural environment caused by <br />the Carbon Creek Reservoir will be fully considered through federal, state and local <br />permitting processes. . <br /> <br />Uniaue Characteristics of the Minimum Flow Reach: Mt. Emmons Mining <br />Company is presently unaware of any unique or rare characteristic of the minimum <br />flow reach that would be inundated by Carbon Creek Reservoir. <br /> <br />Conditions Imoosed bv Federal. State. or Local Govermnents: The only <br />conditions presently imposed by federal, state or local govermnents is that Mt. Emmons <br />Mining Company comply with all applicable statutes and regulations, and that it apply <br />for all necessary permits for the Me Emmons Project. At this time, Mt.
