September 9. 1993 <br /> <br />8:40 - 8:41 a.m. <br />136 - 176 <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Call to Order <br />Tape 1, Start/Stop: <br />No Action Taken <br />A regular meeting of the Colorado Water Conservation Board was held at the <br />Holiday Inn, in A1amosa, Colorado. The meeting was called to order at 8:40 a.m. <br />on Thursday, September 9, 1993, by Chairman Eisel. Nine voting members were <br />present so there was a quorum (at least six required). Ken Salazar, David Harrison, <br />David Smith, Tommy Thomson, Tyler Martineau, Jim Lochhead, Leo Eisel, Ray <br />Wright, David Meyring, Hal Simpson, and Chuck lile2. <br />Approval of Agenda 8:43 ~ 8:50 a.m. <br />Tape 1, Start/Stop: 000 - 064 <br />Action: Chuck Lile added Agenda Item 7f - Snowmass Creek, Agenda Items <br />9f, Colorado Water Protective and Development Association Request, <br />and 9g Rio Grande Reservoir Rehabilitation and Repayment Request, <br />Agenda Item IDe Glen Canyon Research Flows and discussion on <br />Agenda Item 9d, Yuma Desalting Plant. Agenda Items 13a and c-f <br />and 14 were deleted. The changes were approved by all members <br />present with no formal motion. <br /> <br />~ complete record of the meeting has been made on audio cassette tapes. The tapes and the associated staH memorand,a are the only <br />legal record of the meeting. These written summaries are intended only as an aid to research and a guide to the tapes. The mOl ions <br />described herein may not necessarily represent a verbatim transcription. Agenda items are presented in numerical order, according to the <br />Agenda for the meeting. Tape numbers and approximate locations arc identified for the beginning and end of each agenda item. <br /> <br />The tapes. n=corded at very slow speed (1.2 em/see) on a Sony BM-146 court recorder for Tape I. and (2.4cm/sec) for remaining <br />tapes as the regular tape recorder was out of order. and a ~placement machine was used with different speeds and tapes than normal. <br />These tapes arc available for listening at the CWCB during regular office hours. Arrangements to mak.e copies of the tapes or written <br />transcripts of specific agenda items may be made at the requestor's e>..-pense. Notes from thc meeting for identification of times and tapes <br />far specific agenda items can also be reviewed at the cwen offices. <br /> <br />4vOting tallies are based on members present for voting. Members recusing themselves are identirled.
