C.R.S. 9 24-32-2103(1.5). <br /> <br />The risk of flood in areas affected by the 2002 wildfires poses an imminent threat to <br />the life and property of Colorado citizens. Federal funds are needed to begin soil <br />restoration projects in these high-risk areas. Therefore, I authorize up to $2 million <br />from the Disaster Emergency Fund to be used as matching funds for fire restoration <br />projects and order state agencies to participate in these efforts. <br /> <br />2. Mission and Scope. <br /> <br />ThC threat of flooding in areas burned by wildfires poses an imminent threat to the life <br />and property of people living in these areas. This threat constitutes a disaster <br />emergency for the purposes ofC.R.S. 9 24-32-2103. <br /> <br />'In accordance with this threat, I hereby authorize the use of up to $2 million of disaster- <br />emergency funds. These funds may be used as a 25 percent match to receive federal <br />assistance with the fire restoration efforts. <br /> <br />I order appropriate state agencies to participate in soil restoration projects that qualifY <br />as in kind contributions for purposes of this project.
