CWCB staffhas reviewed the proposed
methodology and feels the biological assumptions and resulting flow recommendations are
reasonable and would preserve these "cool water" natural environments to a reasonable degree.

Staff is asking the Board to review the proposed Methodology for "Cool Water" Fisheries. No
additional action is required by the Board. However, Jay Skinner, DOW, and Roy Smith, BLM,
will be available to answer any questions you may have regarding the proposed "cool water"
methodology. CWCB staff is currently working on several proposed instream flow segments
which contain populations of cool water fish species where this new methodology might be used.

C:IMARKINEW ]ECSIWP51IW ARM.WPW
