Copies of this letter were sent to <br />you earlier. <br /> <br />Public Lands EIS: On Oct. 12 the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) announced it would prepare an <br />environmental impact statement for the conservation, restoration, and watershed and wildlife habitat <br />treatments in the West. The agency will hold Scoping rneetlngs starting in November. Completion of the EIS <br />is scheduled for the summer of2003. This EIS will upclate imd replace analyses contained in four existing <br />EISs completed from 1986 to 1992.
