Crawford, Director
Colorado Water Conservation Board
State Office Building
Denver, Colorado

Dear Dean:

In regard to the minutes of the meeting of
October Yl, 1957, I think some statement should be made
at the end of page 12 relative to joining with the other
basin States in petitioning the United States Supreme
Court to grant certiorari in the Niagara case. Before
Mr. Miller made his motion, some member of the Board asked
John Barnard, Jr. what his recommendation would be. John
made a recommendation which I believe should be in the
minutes of the meeting. I, think it is always desirable
when either the attorney for the Water Board or the repre-
sentative of the Attorney General makes a statement on a
legal opinion that it be reported in the minutes. In
addition, to carry out the theme of the rest of the min-
utes, there should be some note to the effect that the
matter was thoroughly discussed by the Board prior to Mr.
Miller making the motion.

Other than the above, I see no other corrections
that are necessary.

Yours very truly,

IRELAND, IRELAND, STAPLETON & PRYOR
Isl Ben

I

J

Benjamin F.
