<br />SECTION 12. Water supply investigation study - appropriation. (1) The Colorado
<br />water conservation board is hereby authorized to participate in the preparation of a scope
<br />of work for a cooperative statewide Water supply investigation for the purpose of
<br />determining how to address furore water demands. The scope of work shall be developed
<br />bv the Colorado water resources research lnstitute in consultation with the Colorado
<br />' .
<br />water congress and others interested in stacewide wacer supply and demand issues and the
<br />Colorado water conservation board. The scope of work shall be delivered by Colorado
<br />water resources research institute to the Colorado water conservation board no later man
<br />November 1, 2000.

<br />(2) In addition to any other appropriation, there is nereby appropriated, OUt of any
<br />moneys in the Colorado water conservation board construction fund not otherNise
<br />appropriated, to the Colorado water conservation board for allocation to the Colorado
<br />water resources research institute, the sum of one nundred fifty thousand dollars
<br />. ($150,000), or so much thereof as may be necessary, to prepare the scope orwork.

<br />(3) The moneys appropriated in subsection (2) of this section snail remain available for
<br />the designated purposes until the preparation of the scope of work for a cooperative
<br />statewide water supply investigation is completed.
