Thcre appears to be <br />rather substantial disagreement regarding whelher the interim period has ended, Whether <br />or not the B1Iol'ea1l. of Reclamation has an obligation to take imminent steps to act to <br />replace this credit rests on the resolution ofthls agreement. <br /> <br />In two briefings before the Colorado River Management Work. Gro\1~, John Redlinger of <br />the Boulder Canyon Operations Office has asserted that this interim pel;iod is over. <br />Furthermore, Mr, Il..edlinger asserts that the United Statcs must look for a new way to <br />meet its obligation to replace the bypass' flow th.at drains from W ellto~ Mohawk Irrigation <br />and Drainage District into Mexico, some 110,000 aCll"e-ferrt annually, <br /> <br />The lining of u"c Coachclla Canal was authoriz:ed in: the Colorado River Basin Salinity <br />control Act ofl974: <br /> <br />Sec. 102.
