A copy of the authorizing <br />language is attached. <br /> <br />The legislation allowed the Board to provide $250,000 to establish the foundation <br />and authorizes the Board to provide $150,000 each year thereafter to support the <br />foundation. <br /> <br />The Board can stop providing funds after notice has been given to the Colorado <br />Water Congress that the pUlposes for which the Foundation was established have <br />ceased, or the when the Foundation becomes self-sufficient. <br /> <br />The Bylaws of the Colorado Foundation for Water Education provide seats for the <br />CWCB Director and another Board representative for two year terms. <br /> <br />At the May 2004 Board meeting, you accepted the Foundation's Scope of Work <br />for 2004-2005. <br /> <br />The non-reimbursable expenditure would provide the next $150,000 increment of <br />funding for 2005-2006. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />It would be appropriate to approve a motion to signify that the CWCB believes <br />that the funding provided to the Foundation should continue. <br />
