<br />'- " f <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Rate of Return <br /> <br />Approximately forty four percent (44.4%) of the counties have returned their questionnaires, and <br />approximately thirty nine percent (39.9%) of the cities and towns. Overall, one hundred thirty five of <br />the 331 questionnaires, or forty percent (40.8%) have been received. Twenty two percent (21.8%) of <br />the organizational questionnaires have been returned. In order to improve the response rate, staff <br />members of McLaughlin Water Engineers Ltd. have made over 200 follow up phone caUs to all the <br />non responding communities. This has resulted in significant improvement in the return rate, with <br />more than 40 additional responses received since November 24th, and verbal commitments from other <br />communities for additional returns. Questionnaires continue to be submitted as recently as January <br />26,1998. <br /> <br />Range of Information in the Questionnaire <br /> <br />Many of the questionnaire contain significant, helpful information to develop the report for the <br />Colorado Legislature. Some of the responses need additional follow up to complete the questionnaires. <br />This portion of the foUow up has been completed by MWE. Input of the information into a data base <br />for further analysis has been completed. The data base can now be queried to indicate the needs of the <br />respondents in a variety of areas.
