Reversal of Residual Project Funds - Non-Reimbursable Investments and Loans

Introduction

When a project from the Construction Fund is completed, de-authorized, or amended,
residual or unused funds sometime remain in the project account. These encumbered project funds
must be un-encumbered or reversed back into the unreserved cash balance of the Construction Fund
by the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Controller's Office or they cannot be used for other
purposes.

Background

The attached list documents two projects with residual or unused funds remaining from the
original appropriated amounts. These funds have remained encumbered by the DNR Controller and
consequently have not been made available for new water project loans or non-reimbursables.
