<br />" <br /> <br />l <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />-3- <br /> <br />The General Assembly, through SB 97-008, HB 00-1419, SB 01-157, and HB 02-1152, <br />added financial resources from the Construction Fund, each time restoring the balance in the <br />Emergency Infrastructure Repair Fund to $2 million. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />The Emergency Infrastructure Repair Loan Fund has proven to be an effective tool for the <br />State in response to water supply related emergencies over the past several years. The need to have <br />loan funds available to water users in a timely manner following such emergencies in Colorado will <br />continue in the future. <br /> <br />A transfer of approximately $1,000,000 from the Construction Fund's unreserved cash into <br />the fund is required to bring the balance back up to $2 million: <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the Board consider a motion to recommend to the General Assembly <br />that the balance in the Emergency Infrastructure Repair Fund be restored to $2,000,000 by <br />transferring the required amount into the Fund from the CWCB Construction Fund's unreserved <br />cash. <br /> <br />Flood Protection.
