<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Floodplain Resolution No. 95 <br /> <br />APPENDIX G <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />823 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />January 19, 1978 <br /> <br />RES 0 L U T I 0 N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Flood <br />Hazard Area Delineation, Dry Gulch and Tributaries," dated November, <br />1977, has been prepared by Sellards & Grigg, Inc., at the request <br />of the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District, the city of <br />Lakewood, and the city and county of Denver; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain <br />data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels or <br />basins of the study area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District has <br />requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and <br />approve the floodplain areas as set forth in the aforesaid report; <br />and <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in <br />the prevention of floods and flood damageitherefrom; and <br /> <br />, ~ <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30728-111, Colorado <br />Revised Statutes 1973, provide that such legislativ~bodies of <br />local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses <br />on or along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only <br />after designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1) (c), Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to <br />designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins <br />and to make such designations available to legislative bodies of <br />local jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report <br />and does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas those areas <br />inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) as <br /> <br />APPENDIX G <br />
