Grand Mesa Reservoir Comoanv - Rehabilitation of Reservoir No. I and No.9 <br /> <br />Authorization: Construction Fund <br />Water Source: Gunnison <br />Terms of Loan: $2OO,OOO@2.4% for 20-years <br /> <br />County: Mesa <br />Project Yield: 1,000 Acre-Feet <br />Project Type: Reservoir Rehabilitation <br /> <br />The Grand Mesa Reservoir Company operates 6 reservoirs on the Grand Mesa to supply water to 16 <br />shareholders for the irrigation of 500 acres. This project involves the replacement of the outlet structures <br />at each reservoir and also addresses seepage problems at each facility. The project was designed by the <br />City of Grand Junction, one of the major shareholders, and is currently being constructed by the City of <br />Grand Junction. The outlet structures have been insta1led and the seepage problem corrected at both <br />reservoir locations. The City of Grand Junction is draining the two reservoirs to insta1l the new outlet <br />gates. Project is anticipated to be complete after the winter snows melt in June/July of 2006. with <br />substantial completion scheduled for July of 2006. <br /> <br />2. Town of Kremmlinl! - Raw Water Suoolv Svstem <br /> <br />Authorization: Construction Fund <br />Water Source: Colorado River <br />Terms of Loan: $1,689,750@4.25%for30-years <br /> <br />County: Grand <br />Project Yield: 400 acre-feet <br />Project Type: Raw Water Supply <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />This $1,616,320 project involves the construction of a raw water supply pipeline from the Colorado River <br />to the Jones No.2 Reservoir. The pipeline project wi1l a1l0w the Town ofKremmling to access their <br />conditional 3 cfs flow right out of the Colorado River, which wi1l be stored at Jones No.2 Reservoir and <br />used to augment the town's current water supply. The project involves the construction of 12,000 feet of <br />pipe, low and high lift pump stations, and low and high lift force mains. The project was bid in the <br />winter of2004, and was awarded to Duckels Construction, Steamboat, Colorado. The project is currently <br />under construction and is approximately 65% complete. The Contractor encountered complications with <br />the bore site under the existing railroad tracks to the river, which required a new bore. The new bore was <br />completed successfully and 100% of the 12-inch pipe has been insta1led. Connections to the pump and <br />treatment plant have been completed. All system checks have been completed by the Contractor and the <br />project has been approved by the Engineer. The Contractor is currently completing punch list items with <br />project substantial completion scheduled for July 2006. <br /> <br />3. Sorinl!dale Ditch Comoanv - We1l AUl!/llentation Proiect <br /> <br />Authorization: Construction Fund <br />Water Source: South Platte Basin <br />Terms of Loan: $135,000@2.75% for 30-years <br /> <br />County: Logan - Near Sterling <br />Project Yield: 10,647 acre-feet <br />Project Type: We1l Augmentation <br /> <br />The Springdale Ditch Company operates the Springdale Ditch for the delivery of irrigation water within a <br />4,490-acre service area. The headgate for the ditch is located in Logan County 6 miles southwest of <br />Sterling.
