The
overall project has many components, however, this particular loan is for diverting water from Vallecito Reservoir to a
pressurized treatment plant The proposed project involves tapping into the existing outlet tunnel, constructing a 500
foot pipeline to convey water to the treatment plant, a bridge over the spillway chute, and a pump when the reservoir
water level is low or to pressurize the treatment plant. The project currently on-hold pending resolution of other
outside funding issues,

10, Dolores Water Conservancv District, WETP ACK

Authorization:
Water Source:
Terms of Loan:

SB 01-157 County: Montezuma
Dolores River Project Yield: 7,840 acre-feet
$7,260,000 @3,50% for 30,years Project Type: Distribution System

e

The District's WETP ACK ( Water for Everyones Tomorrow Package) proposal is intended to better manage
the available resources ofthe Dolores Project to provide an additional 3,300 acre-feet of water for the fishery below
McPhee Dam, increase municipal water supplies, and to provide water of the irrigation of additional lands. This
project involves a system of pipelines, pumps, and related facilities to deliver water to the District's Dove Creek Canal
system for the irrigation of 4,000 acres of new lands that are presently dry land farmed, Water will be delivered to
irrigators in pipes under pressure for sprinkler irrigation only, Harris Water Engineers, of Durango, Colorado, is the
planning and design consultant for the project. Construction is tentatively scheduled to commence in the summer of
2003.

II. The Association
plans on purchasing senior water rights that are suitable for augmentation, Dam improvements include installing a
low level outlet structure and raising the crest ofthe dam approximately 12,inches.
