MR. LONGLEY: Well, we have a main line and a half-inch line, poCLy-
thylene, and then another small line that comes off, the_ main' line,
and it goes on top of this (indicating). And you just put it next to
the tree.-

Now, it sprays' one' on one side of the tree and: one' on the: other, and
they spray two directions.-

MR. MacFARLANE: That just fits right-inside the polyethylene, the
small one?,

MR. LONGLEY: Yes. Normally:, you -have only about eight or nine trees
on the uphill: side.- If there isn't too much slope, you can have:
about 15 on the downhill side.

MR. FETCHER: 'How deep are the 'plastic'distribution lines?

MR. LONGLEY: Oh, they are about a foot,'or foot_ and a half deep, deep
enough to disk around-the trees;" and~so forth.' , p'

MR. GORMLEY: Does: water actually go through that thing, or is it just-
a.guide that distributes it out of the pipe?-

MR. LONGLEY:, It~has a small groove on the top of it, and the water
comes out oL that small groove down on top of that and splashes down
on the sprinkler.
