Adams County is located in the South Platte River Basin and is affected by the South Platte River Compact. Water supplies
are also protected by the State participation in the Endangered Species Partnership in the Platte River Basin. The Chatfield
Reservoir regulates flows through the area, The U.S Forest Service has lost its Federal Reserved Water Rights in Water
Division L Activities related to the Metro Water Supply Investigation and the Senate Bill 74 Study may affect water use and
allocations in the basin, The endangered Prebles Meadow Jumping Mouse also impacts water use.

One project has been completed using a $260,000 loan from the CWCB Construction Fund,

The Office of Water Conservation awarded a $9,700 municipal grant for a pilot demonstration project to the city of Arvada;
and a $5,000 grant to the city ofWesttninster for water conservation education/training, Both projects have been completed,
Adams County is also preparing a water conservation plan.

There are 54 designated floodplain studies affecting 216 stream reaches in the county, Five flood mitigation studies have
been completed, two are in progress, and an additional study has been requested, The county participates in the National
Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and is part of the NFIP Community Raring System, The county is doing a master drainage
plan and is part of the GOCO Legacy Study on the South Platte,

Alamosa County is located in the Rio Grande Basin and is affected by the Rio Grande Compact and federal San Luis Valley
Project-Closed Basin Division, The CWCB is developing a Rio Grande Decision Support System (RGDSS) to support sound
water resource decision making and is midway through year one of the three-year development program, The U. S, Forest
Service has filed Federal reserved water rights claims in Water Division 3.

The CWCB has issued funds for two Construction Fund projects, One project received a $45,000 grant and is complete, The
other project received a $2,000,000 loan and is under construction,
