<br />Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />Page 3 <br />January 4, 1994 <br /> <br />Native Wildlife Suedes Protection Act <br /> <br />The Division, in conjunction with Doug Robotham, has been developing support data and draft <br />legislation for a Native Wildlife Species Protection Act. The objective of the Act will be to <br />provide legislative direction to the Division of Wildlife to manage sensitive wildlife species in <br />a manner so as to assure their continued survival and avoid federal listing. Partnerships in <br />managing these species would be a primary requirement and would include water users, federal <br />agencies, local governments and others. Doug Robotham will brief the Board on recently passed <br />California legislation and what is anticipated to result from the current effort.
