Educate Colorado citizens about drought and its impacts and what the CWCB does to help local <br />communities plan for and mitigate the affects of drought. <br />. Create interest in the water provider community ~ including municipal, industrial and agricultural <br />entities - such that a high percentage of the targeted population will participate in the assessment <br />. Develop and administer a survey that will collect data that is comparable across a wide range of <br />responses and has a high degree of statistical confidence, <br /> <br />To this end, the project involves public relations; database management; survey development, testing and <br />administration; and other technical analyses (e,g., evaluation of how other states manage drought, look at <br />history of drought in Colorado, etc,), <br /> <br />To conclude the presentation, we want to solicit the board's recommendations in three areas: <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />1, Developing a technical advisory group that will be used as a sounding board throughout the proj ect to <br />review selected project deliverables, concepts and recommendations, <br />2. Assisting in facilitating communications between the targeted water suppliers and the Assessment <br />Team. <br />3, Educate water suppliers why they need to participate in the assessment. <br /> <br />We appreciate your support and will be providing you with more detailed information as the project <br />proceeds, <br /> <br />Flood Protection.
