sive type feasibility investigations. Does that

which is up on the board or would it be better

"I think we can all see it all right."

"I think, gentlemen, that it's necessary to
go into a little bit of history on this matter
and this is the reason for having prepared this
map so that you can see the problem. ~fuen I
get through I will have some recommendations to
propose to the Board. I want to say now that
these recommendations have been previously con-
sidered by the Investigation Commission, by the
Governor and by the Executive Committee of the
Hater Congress. Now, while I do not like to
make it a practice to do this sort of thing in
not bringing these things out before the Board
meetings, let me say that the reason is this,
we must make a decision as to Colorado's position
on this matter tomorrow in Salt Lake city so
there was not time after the Board meeting today
to take this thing up with the other people with
whom we have discussed it. We felt this is going
to be extremely far-reaching and that it would be
necessary to get opinions from water users through-
out the state who are represented by the Investi-
gation commission and by the Colorado ~']ater Con-
gress before we go into this and take this posi-
tion in Salt Lake City tomorrow. This will be
a position made by the Committee of 14 who have
been appointed by the governors of the seven
Colorado River Basin states and we hope that the
powers that be in Washington will listen to the
recommendation which we hope to arrive at tomor-
row to present to them.
