<br />, . <br /> <br />Consent Agenda Item 4-3.i. <br />Case No. 4-99CW264; Waunita Hot Springs Ranch . <br /> <br />Application Summary <br /> <br />This is an application for a plan for augmentation on Hot Springs Creek in Gunnison County near <br />the town of Waunita Hot Springs (see attached map). The Applicant is proposing to augment out- <br />of-priority depletions associated with the Greathouse Pond and the Waunita Hot Springs Ranch <br />Lodge Well No. I with releases from the Hot Springs Reservoir. The Greathouse Pond will be used <br />for fish, wildlife and recreation purposes and will be filled using Waunita Hot Springs Ranch <br />Pipeline Nos. 4 & 5 (0.25 cfs each, October I, 1999 appropriation). The Waunita Hot Springs <br />Ranch Lodge Well No. 1 has an appropriation date of December 21, 1999 for 50 gpm for <br />commercial purposes. <br /> <br />CWCB Appropriations <br /> <br />The Board holds an instream flow right on Hot Springs Creek for 1.5 cfs with an appropriation date <br />of May 5, 1984, which may be injured by this application. . <br /> <br />Potential for Iniury <br /> <br />The Applicants' proposed plan for augmentation may not replace depletions to the Board's instream <br />flow water rights on Hot Springs Creek in the same time, amount and location which they . <br />historically occurred. <br /> <br />Other Obiectors <br /> <br />Other objectors in this case include Dr. David Crosson. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />L:IWCfRANSISECCICase FilesI499CW264_mem.doc <br />
