<br />Consent Agenda Item 4-3.h. .. <br />Case No. 4-99CW247; Gray Head Property Owners Association <br /> <br />Application Summary <br /> <br />This is an application for a plan for augmentation on the San Miguel River near Telluride in San <br />Miguel County (see attached map). The Applicant proposes to augment out-of-priority depletions <br />associated with a 25-parcel residential development located on 880 acres. The structures to be <br />augmented include the Gray Head Well Nos. 1-6 (50 gpm/each; July 1997 appropriation), 7 springs <br />(2 cfs total, July 1997), Willow Creek Sawmill Ditch (\.5 cfs, July 1997), Willow Creek Diversion <br />Nos. 1-4 (4.5 cfs total, July 1997), Summit Creek Diverison No.2 (1.5 cfs, July 1997) and 24 Ponds <br />(July 1997). The Applicant proposes to augment out-of-priority depletions using Trout Lake <br />Reservoir Enlargement (60 AF, May 1998), Gray Head Lot 8 North Pond, Gray Head Lot 8 South <br />Pond, Gray Head Lot 19 Pond and Gray Head Lot 24 Pond_ <br /> <br />CWCB Appropriations <br /> <br />The Board holds an instream flow right on the San Miguel River for 20 cfs with an appropriation <br />date of July 13, 1984, which may be injured by this application. <br /> <br />Potential for Iniury <br /> <br />The Applicants' proposed plan for augmentation may not replace depletions to the Board's instream .. <br />flow water rights on the San Miguel River in the same time, amount and location which they <br />historically occurred. <br /> <br />Other Objectors <br /> <br />Other objectors in this case include the Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, <br />Incorporated, the San Miguel Valley Corporation and the Public Service Company. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />\\DENVER2\CWCB\ WCTRANS\SEcaCase Files\499CW247 _ mem.doc <br />
