Review of Estimate of Funds Available for New Projects in 1999

Introduction

This financial information is for your use in evaluating the availability of funds from the
Construction Fund for loans to finance future water projects and for other non-reimbursable
expenses.

Background

At the September 1998 meeting in La Junta, staff provided the Board with preliminary
financial information for the CWCB Construction Fund (Fund 424) based on the closing Teports
for the fiscal year ended June 30, 1998. We also included preliminary financial information fOT
the Severance Tax Trust Fund Perpetual Base Account as a source of funds for water project
, loans.

Discussion

The attached financial statement shows the current estimate of unreserved cash available
from the Construction Fund and the Severance Tax Trust Fund Perpetual Base Account for new
projects and other expenses.
