William McDonald <br /> <br />DATE: February 1, 1982 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Communication from Denver Board of Water Commissioners <br /> <br />Introduction <br /> <br />The Board has received the attached letter from W.H. Miller, <br />Manager of the Denver Water Department, calling attention to <br />Board of Water Commissioners' conclusion that the $5 million <br />authorization for water meters contained in S.B. 69 (1978) cannot <br />be accepted without submitting the matter to the electorate. <br />Since it does not intend to do so,'the Board asks that the <br />funding be deauthorized. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Since the authorization resulted from legislative initiative <br />in 1978, the Colorado Water Conservation Board has not reviewed <br />or recommended the project.
