1 appropriated, out of any moneys in the Colorado water conservation board
2 construction fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Colorado water
3 conservation board, for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2001, the sum of
4 one hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($175,000), or so much thereof
5 as may be necessary, for the installation and maintenance of stream gages
6 to monitor and administer Colorado water conservation board-decreed
7 . instream flow water rights in conjunction with the satellite monitoring
8 system.
9 (3) The moneys appropriated in subsections (1) and (2) of this
10 section shall remain available for the designated purposes until the project
11 is completed.
12 SECTION 6. Dual water system study. appropriation.
13 (1) The Colorado water conservation board is hereby authorized to
14 participate in a study to assess the benefits and costs of pressurized dual
15 water systems in Colorado, concentrating on northeastern Colorado,
16 particularly water districts 1 through 6 in Larimer and Weld counties. The
17 purpose of the study will be to evaluate raw water delivery for outside
18 irrigation, thus reducing the summer demand on treated water systems.
19 The study will provide an evaluation of two agricultural water providers'
20 potential for dual water system development.
21 (2) In addition to any other appropriation, there is hereby
22 appropriated, out of any moneys in the Colorado water conservation board
23 construction fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Colorado water
24 conservation board for allocation to the Colorado institute for irrigation
25 management - Colorado state university, the sum of one hundred thirty-six
26 thousand one hundred thirty-one dollars ($136,131), or so much thereof
27 as may be necessary, for evaluating the raw water delivery systems for
