<br /> <br />1 Colorado Revised Statutes, are amended to read: <br />. 2 37 -60-122.2. Fish and wildlife resources -legislative declaration <br />3 - fish and wildlife resources fund. (2) (a) Moneys transferred to the fish <br />4 and wildlife resources accotll1t in the Col.:nado l"Iatc1 Cc,nSC1 vatian boa,d <br />5 cOIlsb.l1ctioll fund pursuant to the provisions of section 37-60-121 (6) are <br />6 hereby continuously appropriated to the Colorado water conservation <br />7 board for the purpose of making grants pursuant to this subsection (2) and <br />8 for offsetting the direct and indirect costs of the board for administering <br />9 the grants. The interest earned from the investment of the moneys in the <br />10 account shall be credited to the account. <br />11 (c) An applicant may apply for an enhancement grant by <br />12 submitting to the commission and the board an enhancement proposal for <br />13 enhancing fish and wildlife resources over and above the levels existing <br />14 without such facilities. The commission shall submit its recommendations <br />15 on the proposal to the board for its consideration. The board, with the <br />16 concurrence of the commission, may award a grant for fish and wildlife <br />17 enhancement. Any such enhancement grant will be shared equally by the <br />18 Colorado water conservation board's fish and wildlife resources JCGOtlut <br />19 FUND and the division of wildlife's wildlife cash funds and other funds <br />20 available to the division. <br />21 (e) Species recovery grants from the fish and wildlife resources <br />22 lIGGOI1,lt FUND may be made for the purpose of responding to needs of <br />23 declining native species and to those species protected under the federal <br />24 "Endangered Species Act of 1973", 16 U.S.C. sec. 1531, et seq., as <br />25 amended, in a manner that will carry out the state water policy. <br />26 (f) Notl"lithstand;Jlg allY plovision of pmagiaph (a) of this <br />27 stlbsce;tion (2) to tIle COlJU.l1}, 011 July 1, 1998, the stat, t!CaStl,,,, shall <br /> <br /> <br />-25- <br /> <br />SBOl-157 <br /> <br />
