<br />-2- <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />This analysis would help demonstrate the impacts of the U.S. Forest Service's current forest A <br />management practices on water yield from National Forest lands in Colorado. Colorado needs to .. <br />understand the impact of current forest management practices and obtain sound information on their <br />impacts. <br />Bud2et and Schedule <br /> <br />The estimated cost of this reconnaissance-level analysis is $190,000. It is anticipated that a detailed <br />Scope of Work and draft report outline will be provided within 45 days following receipt of a signed <br />contract. A draft report is expected within six months following notice to proceed. A final report <br />would be delivered within 30 days (15 day review and IS day revision period). The analysis will <br />take approximately 120 days after receipt of data from the Forest Service. The entire study will take <br />approximately nine months to complete. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the Board request the General Assembly authorize $190,000 from the CWCB <br />Construction Fund to be appropriated to the CWCR and DNRjointly to undertake the described <br />analysis. <br /> <br />Attachment <br /> <br />Flood Protection.
