<br />2b. <br /> <br />\ <br /> <br /> <br />Recognition of Retiring Board Members <br />Tape 1, Start/Stop: 0203 - 0252 <br />Action: A motion was made by David Smith to recognize the contributions of the <br />three former Board Members (Eric Kuhn, Patricia Wells and Lewis Entz). <br />The motion was seconded by Eric Wilkinson and approved (8-0). A <br />reception will be held at the November 2001 meeting to recognize these <br />retiring Board Members. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />3. Review and Approval of July 2001 Minutes <br />Tape 1, Start/Stop: 0252 - 0720 <br />Action: A motion was made by Bob Burr that the Board approve the July meeting <br />minutes as presented with the exception ofltem 4, which will be brought <br />to the November 2001 Meeting for discussion. The motion was seconded <br />by Carol McIntosh and approved (8-0). <br /> <br />4. Director's Reports - DNR, CWCB, AGO, SEO, DOW, and WRPDA <br />Tape 1, Start/Stop: 0720 - 3435 <br />Action: These items were taken inclusively. Information item, no action taken, <br />although it was agreed that Federal Reserved Water Rights for Wildemess <br />and the subject of Water B!\nking will be heard at the next meeting in <br />November, 2001. Kent Holsinger presented Greg W aIcher's Executive <br />Director's Office report. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />Consent Agenda. <br />Tape 1, Start/Stop: 3435 - 3887 <br />Action: A motion was made by Carolyn McIntosh that the Board adopt and <br />approve the items on the Consent Agenda. The motion was seconded by <br />David Smith and approved (8-0). <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />6. News Release Policy <br />Tape 1, Start/Stop: 3887 - 4998 <br />Action: Information item; no formal action taken, although the existing policy was <br />discussed in great detail, lltld the current process was generally approved. <br /> <br />7. Water Education Initiative Update and Funding Decisions <br />Tape 1, Start/Stop: 4998 - 6695 <br />Action: A motion was made by Greg ijoskin that the Board give the staff authority <br />to enter into an intergovenunelltal agreement with the River District to <br />administer the $40,000, with some form of oversight by the Board as <br />discussed by the Board. The motion as seconded by Carolyn McIntosh. <br />The motion was amended by Greg Hoskin that the agreement may not <br />necessarily be with the River District, but perhaps another representative <br />entity if necessary.
