A <br />brief summary of the studies is presented below. <br /> <br />L FPR 00-531: Montezuma County, Flood Insurance Study dated May 1989 was prepared by <br />the Federal Emergency Management Agency, It includes both approximate and detailed <br />floodplain delineations for numerous flooding sources within the county, There appear to be no <br />major problems or issues with the current floodplain mapping, County officials were notified of <br />the CWCB' s proposed designation action and a meeting was set up with County staff to discuss <br />the designation process, County staff did not attend the scheduled meeting, and therefore the <br />CWCB is proposing to adopt the study by Board Initiative rather than community request <br />CWCB staff will again make contact with the County poor [Q the J::Sourd meeting to gain verbal <br />consent if possible, Therefore, the proposed action for Montezuma County's floodplain <br />information is designation and approval by the Board in order to meet statutory requirements, <br />The CWCB is also preparing a new floodplain information report to provide technical <br />information to support the 1989 Flood Insurance Rate Maps, <br /> <br />2, FPR 00-532: Town of Nuda, Flood Hazard Boundary Map dated March 1976 was prepared <br />by the Federal Insurance Administration, It includes approximate floodplain delineations for <br />Calamity Draw within the Town of Nucla, located in Montrose County, Town officials were <br />receptive to the proposed designation and transmitted a letter to the CWCB requesting <br />designation_ Therefore, the proposed action for Nucla's floodplain map is designation and <br /> <br />Flood Protection. Water Project Planning and Financing. Stream and Lake Protection <br />Water Supply Protection. Conservation Planning <br />
