COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD MEETIl<<; MINUTES
New Albany Hotel
Denver, Colorado

December 4, 1974

The meeting was called to order by Mr. Stapleton, Chairman, at
10:00 a.m.

Mr. Stapleton: We will call this regularly scheduled meeting of the
Colorado Water Conservation Board to order.

The first order of business is the approval of the minutes of August 1,
1974, that have been submitted to the board prior to this meeting.
Are there any additions or corrections to the minutes of August 1, 1974?

Mr. Fetcher: Mr. Chairman.

Mr. Stapleton: Yes, sir.

Mr. Fetcher: I have a correction on page 11, where it refers to billion
barrels per day, at the top of the page, a statement made by Larry
Sparks. I think it should have been million barrels.

Mr. Stapleton: Do you agree with that, Mr. Sparks? Billion, million
means nothing to you? .

Mr. Sparks: It should be million, that is correct.

Mr. St:leton: All right, are there any other additions or corrections?
With t t correction there, I will entertain a motion that the minutes
of August 1 be approved.

Mr. Cornelius: I so move.

Mr. Pickrel: I second it.

Mr. Stapleton: It has been moved and seconded. All those in favor
signify by saying "aye" ~ opposed, "no." The minutes of August 1 are
approved with the one amendment.

Now we are going to have a long meeting today. Just so that we can all
plan ahead, it is my thought, if it is all right with the board, that
we go to twelve, and then we have a luncheon.

It would be my hope that we can get this meeting over with in one day.
Some of the board members have problems about the next day. I am going
to do everything I can to get it over in one day with your help.

A little later on as we see how the second and third items go, we will
probably be asking you to sign up to speak this afternoon. During the
lunch hour we can make some headway in scheduling the people that would
like to appear. We will see how the first two agenda items go, and
then we will perhaps ask that you sign up if you want to appear on any

I

I
