<br />. <br /> <br />Agenda Item 6a <br />Case No. 1-98CW447; Guercio e <br /> <br />Application SumrI1arv <br /> <br />This is an application for a conditional storage right, change of water rights, and approval of a plan <br />for augmentation on North Boulder Creek and Como Creek near Boulder in Boulder County (see <br />attached map). Applicant is requesting conditional storage rights for Caribou Ranch Trout Ponds <br />(1 through 6) and the Caribou Ranch Trout Ponds Diversion Structure, for a combined total of <br />171.5 acre-feet and up to 10 cfs, respectively. Applicant proposes to divert water from North <br />Boulder Creek and several springs tributary to the Como Creek watershed under an appropriation <br />date of June 1, 1976. Applicant also proposes to change the use the aforementioned springs from <br />irrigation, stockwatering and domestic uses, as well as, the use of an undivided Y:z interest of the <br />Como Ditch No.4, decreed for irrigation, to include diversion into storage in the Caribou Ranch <br />Trout Ponds. Applicant proposes to use the pondS as alternate points of diversion for these rights. <br />Finally, Applicant seeks approval of a plan for augmentation to use the consumptive use credit from <br />drying up subirrigated lands underneath the proposed ponds and roads, estimated at 16.6 acre-feet <br />per year, to offset an estimated 17 acre-feet of evaporative losses from the ponds during the months <br />of June through October.
