MINUTES
Rm. 132, State Services Building
Denver, Colorado

January 12, 1967

The meeting was called to order by Vice-Chairman Staple-
ton at 10:00 A. M.

MR. STAPLETON:

MRS. KEATING:

MR. STAPLETON:

MR. MACDONALD:

MR. I<ROEGER:

MR. MACDONALD:

"We will call this regularly scheduled
meeting of the Colorado Water Conservation
Board to order. As the Board members know,
Mrs. Keating gave due and timely notice that
she had other things to do and would not be
able to get the minutes out as promptly as
she usually efficiently does. She informs
me that the draft went into the mail last
night which is about as timely as you can
have it and they should be at your homes
today. So we will defer any action on the
minutes of our last meeting until our next
meeting of the Board. In the meantime Mrs.
Keating, we are appreciative of your efforts
in view of everything else in the office in
getting them out."

"Thank you very much, Mr. Stapleton."

"I am pleased to introduce at this time
a new member of our Board. He is the Presi-
dent of his bank in La Junta, Vice-President
of the Colorado Bankers Association, which
is a lobby of moneyed men, I understand, in
the area, and a new member of our Board
from La Junta, Mr. James H. Macdonald.
We are delighted to have you. Will you
stand up so all of us can see you? I
gather, in talking with Si, that he is a
cattleman and wealthy in two respects. We
are delighted to have this type of member-
ship on the Board."

"Thank you."

"He's getting you started off great:"

"Yes, he is:"

I

I
