Also attached are letters of support for the project from the <br />towns of Firestone and Frederick. <br /> <br />Backe:round <br /> <br />The Tri- Town drainage basin is situated in the southwest comer of Weld County and <br />includes the towns ofDacono, Firestone and Frederick and the unincorporated <br />community of Evanston, The basin is primarily rural at the present time but urbanization <br />is taking place in and around the four communities. <br /> <br />Drainage of storm runoff occurs through a man-made drainageway that runs north from <br />near Dacono then east along the south side of Frederick and north along Weld County <br />Road 13 on the east side of Frederick, Evanston and Firestone. The drainageway is a <br />small earthen channel with the capacity to convey the 2-year to 10-year storm event <br />runoff. <br />
