There are <br />three communications which ate not in your <br />files which I would like to call to your atten- <br />tion at this time. One is from the members of <br />the Board of Directors of the Southeastern <br />Colorado Water Conservancy District and says, <br />addressed to the Director: <br /> <br />'The following telegram was sent to Con- <br />gressman Wayne Aspinall quote We hereby <br />express to you our complete confidence <br />in your position whatever that may be with <br />reference to the private utility versus <br />all-federal transmission system for the <br />Colorado River Storage Project and further <br />express our gratitude to you for your <br />efforts on behalf of reclamation unquote.' <br /> <br />Second is a communication from the City <br />of Delta: <br /> <br />'Following is a copy of telegram sent on <br />August 19, 1961, to Mr, Harvey McPhail <br />and to the Honorable Wayne Aspinall, Room <br />620, Congressional Hotel, washington, D.C.: <br /> <br />The City of Delta endorses the Reso- <br />lution passed by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board on August 2, 1961, <br />which recommends the construction of the <br />all Federal transmission system for <br />the Colorado River Storage Project. <br /> <br />(Signed) City of Delta, <br />City Manager' <br /> <br />We also have a resolution from the City of <br />Julesburg: <br /> <br />'RESOLVED That the Council hereby endorses <br />and approves the adoption of the resolu- <br />tion by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board pertaining to the transmission system <br />for the Colorado River Storage Project.' <br /> <br />Then they send copies of it to all of our <br />congressional delegation.
