"First of all, Larry, I wonder, in regard to
that report of the Power Sub-Committee, if it
wouldn't be better if we transmitted that to the
Upper Colorado River Commission and perhaps get
fortification from that group before it went to
Washington? I'm thinking in terms of maybe a
four-state agreement rather than one-state under
which Senator Hayden might single us out."

"That suggestion has a lot of merit."

"Ival, would you think that would be in
order?"

"Mr. Chairman, I think so. I'm not sure
whether Larry is aware of the situation or not,
but we are working on a statement for the Com-
mission at its next meeting. I meant to have
an opportunity to talk with Larry about that be-
fore this meeting but didn't get it. I think the
suggestion is well taken."

"Ted McCandless had a matter he wanted to
bring up."

"Mr. Chairman, my friend, George Pughe, who
was, for fourteen year~ a member of this Board
recently died. I move that the Board prepare a
resolution of condolence and have it spread on
the minutes of the Board, with copy sent to ~~.
Pughe's family in Craig."

"I had the pleasure of serving on this Board
at the time Terr. Pughe served also on the Board
and I would like to second Mr. McCandless'
motion."
