<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />No. 54 <br /> <br />APPENDIX E <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />102 Columbine Building <br />1845 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />March l'l, 1976 <br /> <br />R ~ ~ 0 b u T ~ 0 N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled <br />"Pleasant view Drainage Study," dated November, 1975, and covering <br />areas of Jefferson County has been prepared by the Jefferson County <br />Engineering Department at the request of the Jefferson County Board <br />of county commissioners; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain <br />data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels or <br />basins of the study area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson <br />County has requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to <br />designate and approve the floodplain area as set forth in the <br />aforesaid report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, requires the ColoradO Water Conservation Board to assist in <br />the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, ColoradO Revised <br />Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local juris- <br />dictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along any <br />storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation <br />and approval by the Colorado Water Conservat1on Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1) (c), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and <br />approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to make <br />such designations available to legislative bodies of local juris- <br />dictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report <br />and does hereby recommend to the ColoradO Water Conservation Board <br />that the Board designate and apprOve as floodplain areas those areas <br />inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) as <br />described by the floodwater surface elevations and profiles in said <br />report; <br /> <br />APPENDIX E <br />
