WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Flood
Hazard Analyses, Portions of Jimmy Camp Creek and Tributaries, El Paso
County, Colorado," dated October, 1975 has been prepared by the United
States Soil Conservation Service at the request of El Paso County and
the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and

WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain
data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels or
basins of the study area, and

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of El Paso County
has requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and
approve the floodplain areas as set forth in the aforesaid report; and

WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes 1973,
requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in the pre-
vention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and

WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised
Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local juris-
dictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along any
storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation and
approval by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and

WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes
1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and
approve storm 0;: floodwater runoff ,.hannels or basins and to make such
designations available to 1~6islative bodies of local jurisdictions;
and

WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report and
does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation Board that
the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas those areas inundated
by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) as described by the
floodwater surface elevations and profiles in said report;

NOW TlmREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conser-
vation Board in regul~r meeting asse~?led in Denver, Colorado, this
17th day of March, 1976 that it does hereby designate and approve as
floodplain areas those areas described as being inundated by a 100-year
flood as set forth in said report; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is
