4t-l c;

.

Doherty, Todd

From: Steve Swanson [sswanson@nanocerox,com]
Sent: Friday, November 11,200510:06 AM
To: Doherty. Todd
Cc: nfrey@vaildaily,com
Subject: Eagle River Water

Mr. Todd Doherty
Colorado Conservation Board

Mr. Doherty, as a resident on Main St., Minturn, and directly on the Eagle River, I
support our city's request for increased flows. The recent article by Ms. Frey highlights
the issue very nicely.

In fact in a circuitous way opponents Mr. Porzak of Vail resorts and Gelvin of the
sanitation district validate the request.

Porzak in typical vailresort speak basis his opposition on the fact that minimum flow
levels were established 27 years ago. I say to Mr. Porzak if he can document there has
been no increase usage of that flow in 27 years then by all means forget my support for
an increase in water flows.

.

As for Mr. Gelvin, his response is truly lucid" We know enough about it to know we'd
rather not see it happen." Seems Mr. Gelvin might need to do some re-planning if the
flows were increased and that just might be an imposition on this public servant.

Stephen Swanson
666 Main St.
Minturn

.

11/14/2005
