It calls for daily flows of 300 cfs
for the months May through August, flows ranging
downward from 280 cfs'to 150 cfs in September, from
150 cfs to 65 cfs in October, 60 cfs for the months
November through March, and ranging upward in April
from 60 cfs to 270 cfs. It states that'concurrence
with the report by the Colorado Game and Fish
Department was signified by letter from Director
Thomas L. Kimball dated November 23, 1954.

The operation studies of the Bureau of Reclamation
were not based on tne recommended flows. A comparison
on a monthly basis between the reservoir outflows of
the Bureau sfudy with the flows recommended by the
Fish and Wildlife Service shows that to meet the
scnedule the following additional amounts of water
would need to be by-passed at Wagon Wheel Gap Reservoir:

Year

I1925
1926
1927
1928
1929
1930
1931
1932
1933
1934
1935
1936
1937
1938

Amount'
(1000 acre-feet)
17.3
13.6
5;8
o
5.8
3.6
14.2
26.3
15.6
10.8
11.0
10.8
17.3
29.0

Year

1939
1940
1941
1942
1943
1944
1945
1946
1947
1948
1949
1950
1951
Average

I

Amount
(1000 acre-feet)
12.7
. 1.6
16.1
o
7.2
29.2
7.7
9.4
16.1
21.3
5.8
4.7
o
11.6

The above amounts of water if by-passed would result
in increased shortages in the following years:

I
