S. Bureau of Reclamation submitted a Supplemental <br />Report on Rio Grandeand Weminuche Pass Divisions, San Luis Valley <br />Project, Rio Grande Basin, Colorado, dated February 1953 to the <br />State of Colorado for comments. Dan Thornton, Governor of the <br />State of Colorado and Ex-Officio Chairman of the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board, and Ivan C. Crawford, Director of the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board made comments on the report on <br />behalf of the State of Colorado in a letter to the Secretary of <br />the Department of Interior dated August 12, 1953. That letter <br />summarized the position of the State of Colorado as follows: <br />
