This SOW was developed by the Executive Director and the CFWE Board. CWCB staff <br />will review this scope with the Foundation's new Executive Director and Board as part of the <br />contracting process starting in June 2006. <br /> <br />2005-2006 Educational Prol!rams Overview <br />Quarterly issues of Headwaters magazine have included the following themes: Basin Focus on the <br />Rio Grande; river restoration; recreation; water quality; and groundwater issues throughout the state <br />(due July 2006). <br /> <br />This fall the Foundation released its Citizen's Guide to Colorado's Environmental Era, and this <br />summer it will release a Citizen's Guide to the Denver Basin Aquifers. The guide to the Denver <br />Basin aquifers was funded by Suncor Energy with a grant of $25,000. Authors of guide are Ralf <br />Topper, Colorado Geological Survey, and Bob Raynolds, Denver Museum of Nature and Science. <br /> <br />In January 2006, the Foundation launched its inaugural Water Leaders Program. The program <br />participants were introduced to the board at its January board meeting. This 9-month program will <br />continue until November 2006. Its initial success indicated that it will be continued the following <br />year. <br /> <br />Flood Protection. Water Supply Planning and Finance.
