Mr. Fetcher: This particular project is somewhat related to No.6, the
Lower Yampa project. As you all know, it is almost up to the construc-
tion phase and naturally we would like to see it progress. That is
about my only comment. I am sorry that John Sherman who came here to
speak on it hasn't arrived yet. He had a doctor's appointment, but I
will say a few words on No. 6 when we get to it.

in tha aUdiancal

Mr. Stapleton: All right. Any comments from any members
on the Savery-Pot Hook? John, will you then so move?

Mr. Fetcher: I so move.

~tr. Kroeqer: I second it.

Mr. Stapleton: It has been regularly moved and seconded that the Savery-
Pot Hook reclamation project resolution be approved. All those in favor
signify by saying "aye" - opposed, "no." The resolution is carried.
(See Appendix E) .

Next is the Closed Basin project. Quincy Cornelius, would you like to
comment on it?

Mr. Cornelius: l~. Chairman, I would like to introduce Franklin Eddy,
Manager of the Rio Grande Water Conservation District, who may have
some remarks about this resolution.

ftt. Eddy: Mr. Chairman, a year ago in December of '72 we asked the
board to delay any active work on this until we had a chance to do some
survey work on the installation of the great many sprinkler systems in
the area immediately west of the Closed Basin project. Since that time,
we have ran two surveys, and the board is now satisfied that this is
not going to be a detriment to the project, or to the water table west
of the project. So my board and the Trinchera Conservancy District and
the conejos Conservancy District in the last five days have voted to go
along with your resolution and the San Luis Conservancy District and
the Rio Grande Water Users Association have agreed to stand on their
old resolution being in favor of the projects. So we have the major
water groups of the valley in favor of this resolution. Thank you.

~tr. Cornelius: ptr. Chairman, I move adoption of the resolution.

I

Mr. Pickrel: I second it, Mr. Chairman.

Mr. Stapleton: It has been regularly moved and seconded that the Closed
Basin project resolution as drawn be adopted. Any further discussion?

-16-
